George Mois is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavior in the College of Public Health. His research interests include human technology interaction, extended reality, socially assistive robots, telepresence embodiment, loneliness/social connectivity, and healthy aging. Prior to joining UGA, Mois was a postdoctoral research associate in the Human Factors and Aging Laboratory at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Passionate about improving health outcomes for aging populations, Olivia is excited to learn more about finding innovative solutions that will enhance quality of life and promote healthy aging through emerging technologies.

Saagarika Ramanathan is a second-year Health Promotion major with an emphasis on Health Promotion and minors in Statistics, Health Policy and Management, and Global Health. Dedicated to exploring how cutting-edge technology can drive breakthroughs in aging and longevity, Saagarika hopes to foster solutions that support healthier, longer lives.

Elena D’Agostino is a third-year Nutritional Sciences major with a Spanish minor on the Pre-Physician Assistant track. In a constantly expanding digital age, Elena hopes to extend technological knowledge to older adults, providing them with more assets for their mental and physical health. By increasing digital literacy in these communities, she hopes to provide more autonomy to adults who may not initially have as many resources.

Julia Harris is a third-year student majoring in Health Promotion with an emphasis in Health Services. With hopes of pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant, she is passionate about bridging the gap between preventative care and medical intervention for underserved populations. She also hopes to be able to empower individuals to take charge of their mental and physical wellbeing with more accessible strategies.

Department of Psychology, Franklin College of Arts and Sciences
Linrou Liu is a second-year student studying Psychology with a concentration in neuroscience and Criminal Justice. For her future career as an attorney in medical malpractice and nursing home abuse, Linrou is interested in the crossroads of gerontology and the legal system. She hopes to assess the current state of psychological services and health infrastructure available to incarcerated older adults, and how prisons and court systems can adopt new health technologies.

Kayla Kuyu is a third-year Health Promotion major with minors in Disaster Management and Health Policy and Management. She is in the Double Dawgs program and on track to get an MPH with a concentration in Disaster Management. Kayla is interested in research exploring how emerging technologies can support social connection and well-being in older adults, and is motivated to promote accessibility and quality of life.

Kelsey Amon worked in the lab as an MPH student concentrating in Gerontology. Kelsey is passionate about conducting clinically-relevant research among older populations and is currently pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Kentucky.

Miracle Baker graduated as a Health Promotion major with an emphasis in Health Services. With aspirations to become a physician, Miracle hopes to improve care for underserved communities by bridging the gap between clinical medicine and public health. She is especially interested in exploring how technology can increase healthcare access and enhance overall well-being for older adults.
